Exploring Housing Strategies for Vulnerable Populations in Vancouver's Rental Market
Understanding Canada's Rental Housing Landscape
Anam's research investigates the housing strategies employed by individuals at the lower end of Canada's rental market. Her focus is on the informal rental sector, examining how it both supports and exploits vulnerable demographics such as international students and ethnic minorities. By exploring the intricacies of housing access, affordability, and quality, her work seeks to provide critical insights into the functioning of secondary rental markets and inform policies aimed at enhancing support for these marginalized groups.
