SCARP website bio request form for PhD candidates

Having a bio on the SCARP website celebrates your place in the school, your research interests, and accomplishments and involvements with the School as they develop. While you’re a student, they can also be a way to have a presence here that could possibly attract or legitimise media interest in your work as it develops (some students actively seek this out, and there are resources to help you).

Remember:

  • This is optional and opt-in, but highly recommended.
  • This isn’t a primary professional hub, and we recommend other hubs of your accomplishments, including but not necessarily limited to LinkedIn.
The wording of your name here is how it will appear on the website, and therefore how you will be recognised by researchers or partners seeking you out.

10 words maximum. This will serve as your "teaser" preview in the directory, representing what fundamental question or vision your work addresses. (Take a look at the directory at scarp.ubc.ca/phd-students for examples.)
100 words maximum, in 3rd person.

75 words maximum, in 3rd person.
