Whether it’s addressing the growing housing crisis or shifting the way we get around our cities, it's clear that public interest in urban planning is growing. Join Uytae Lee for a conversation on the rise of urban planning content and how we can generally communicate planning issues in a way that invites people of all backgrounds into the discussion.

More about Uytae Lee

Uytae (you-tay) Lee produces videos that educate and engage the public on urban planning issues. He is the founder of ‘About Here’, a creative studio dedicated to helping people understand their cities better. In addition to his video work, Uytae is an adjunct professor at the UBC School of Journalism and a commissioner on the board of BC Housing.

Event format

  • Speaker Series events are open to the public. 
  • Light lunch will be served. 
  • Speakers will present for 30-45 minutes, each followed by 15 minutes of Q&A and then an open session of networking and chat. 
  • While these events are exclusively in-person, presentations will be recorded and available online for those who can't attend personally.
