CIP membership news, events, and strategic plan

The Canadian Institute of Planners, the national organization of professional planners in Canada, has some important updates for its student members.

Students enrolled in Canadian accredited university planning programs (including SCARP) for the 2021- 2022 academic year are eligible for a free CIP membership.

Below are some details in their own words!

Free student membership extended to all students in Canada

CIP membership is now free to all post-secondary students across Canada! For anyone interested in planning, this is a great opportunity to get involved!

Since 2018, CIP has offered free membership to students in accredited Canadian planning programs (of which SCARP is one!) With the release of CIP's new five-year strategic plan, CIP further expands its commitment to supporting the next generation of planners throughout their careers, as well as increasing awareness and understanding of the profession.
