The Marine Environmental Observation, Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR) is hosting the National Forum on Coastal Community Resilience: Local Government Initiatives.
This is a free, online event on May 25-26, and SCARP Professor Stephanie Chang is charing the program committee.
See the agenda / register
The Forum will explore two themes: Resilience Planning and Partnerships, and Disaster Recovery and Lessons. The Forum sessions run for three hours each day and will feature: community ‘snapshot’ presentations from local government representatives; panel discussions with representatives from federal, provincial, and local government agencies, NGOs, and the research community; as well as breakout room discussions open to all participants. We are also pleased to offer French-English live simultaneous interpretation for the presentation and panel sessions.
