The Ontario Farmland Trust (OFT) is pleased to announce that our annual Farmland Forum is going virtual on March 25th, 2021.
The Farmland Forum brings together planners, provincial and municipal politicians and staff, farmers, researchers, students, and conservationists to discuss current issues and topics related to farmland protection in Ontario. The Forum is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the possibilities for farmland protection planning and policy within Ontario.
Each year, we choose a theme that reflects contemporary discussions around farmland protection and agricultural viability. This year’s theme is “The Shifting Landscapes of Farmland Protection”.
Presenters and panelists from across Ontario will join attendees to share their experiences, insights, and expertise on this theme and on agricultural viability more broadly. Our keynote speakers this year include Kevin Eby and Victor Doyle.
Please see the attached flyer and circulate it to your students and faculty who might be interested.
