Deadline for the Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey has been extended

Hello all,

We have decided to extend the deadline for the Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey until April 18 to boost up the response rate. To date, we’ve only heard back from 14.7% of graduate students on both campuses. We would like to get that number up to 25%, if possible.

There will not be another survey of this broad nature conducted by UBC and other universities across Canada for the next three years. The results will influence planning and services for graduate students for many years to come. Past surveys have been used to better understand and improve the experience of graduate students at UBC. For example, perspectives in previous years have helped to support the passing of the PhD minimum funding package.

I urge you to help with pushing this important survey out. Please find attached an updated toolkit with the new dates. I’ve also included new social media copy. If you would like to include our short video in your digital signage, it's called '2019-04-18 - Canadian Graduate Survey - cc'.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.   Survey toolkit will be forwarded through listserv current students...

Thank you,
