Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF) is seeking to fill the position of Community Planner in our Thunder Bay office. The posting and job description can be accessed here.
This position is an incredible opportunity to do meaningful work in the area of community development, working within a service area that covers 89 First Nation communities in northern Ontario.
NADF is a not-for-profit Aboriginal NGO serving entrepreneurs, businesses and communities in Northern Ontario. We offer a variety of services to community planning and economic development, as well as financing, business support, workshops, and bookkeeping training. We work on a by- request basis and provide our services to communities free of charge.
Our community development program (Nishnawbe Majijikaywin) focuses on Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP), but also capacity development at the community level, and economic development.
The Community Planner will work closely with the Senior Community Planner - CCP Program Lead to support the delivery of NADF’s Comprehensive Community Planning program, as well as taking on other projects as necessary.
