Bio and CV
Konrad Siu is recently retired from the City of Edmonton. Prior to his retirement, he was the Transformation Manager responsible for leading and coordinating the establishment of a new Integrated Infrastructure Services department. He was Executive Director for three years of a drainage tunneling and open cut team from 2012 to 2015 and was the Director of the Office of Infrastructure and Funding Strategy from 2000 to 2012. He has been actively involved in advancing infrastructure asset management in Canada and has been invited to serve on numerous national committees, including the Canadian Infrastructure Report Card Steering Committee (member 2010 - 2012), National Core Public Infrastructure Advisory Committee to Infrastructure Canada (co-chair 2009 - 2010), Asset Committee for the development of the Framework for Assessment of State, Performance and Management of Canadian Core Public Infrastructure (vice-chair 2008 - 2010), Public Sector Accounting Board Task Force on Assessment of Tangible Capital Assets (member 2006 - 2008), National Round Table on Sustainable Infrastructure (member 2005 - 2008), National Asset Management Working Group (member 2005 - 2008) and Decision Making and Investment Planning Technical Committee of the National Guide to Sustainable Municipal Infrastructure (InfraGuide) (vice-chair 2001 - 2005). He has been a member of the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering Infrastructure Renewal Committee since 2004. He is currently a member of the External Review Committee to Infrastructure Canada.
He also has been invited to speak at numerous conferences and institutes, including to the World Bank in 2006 and also as the keynote speaker at the Governmental Asset Management Congress in Dubai in 2013.
