Dalley
After receiving her Bachelor of Knowledge Integration from the University of Waterloo, where she graduated on the Dean's Honours List, she returned to Vancouver to pursue her Master of Community and Regional Planning (MCRP). Throughout the MCRP program, she focused her studies on hazard mitigation planning, disaster management planning, and climate change adaptation planning. The transdisciplinary Knowledge Integration program also allowed her to explore her interest in hazards and disasters through her courses and her undergraduate thesis, which examined best practices for earthquake preparedness and compared San Francisco and Vancouver with regards to their earthquake preparedness policies and actions. Knowledge Integration also taught her how to communicate effectively, and how to think about complex, 'wicked' problems, like those found in planning. In her spare time, she enjoys photographing the wonderful west coast scenery!
