PIBC Sketch School: Drawing environments for planning
About
The Planning Institute of British Columbia (PIBC) represents professional networking opportunities for our students, and for alumni also represents an avenue for becoming a Registered Professional Planner (RPP). Their Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) System helps its members maintain professional standards and the latest planning-related knowledge and skills. Whether you're a student seeking knowledge and future networks or a member actively earning CPL credits, official PIBC events represent an invaluable avenue into the greater world of planning.

Plein Air Fundamentals with SCARP sessional instructor Erick Villagomez!
Welcome to PIBC Summer Sketch School, hosted by the South Coast Chapter, in collaboration with Erick Villagomez! The series is intended to cover a variety of drawing fundamentals related to different environments and topics, building sequentially from one session to another. Although each session can be stand-alone and people of all skills and levels are welcome accordingly, the most benefits will come from attending all in the sequence provided.
Each session will be based on the following themes (click each to register):
-
July 11: Natural Environments and Landscapes - Trout Lake (John Hendry) Park
-
July 12: Urban and Built Environments - Main Street-Science World Station
-
July 19: Values - Grandview-Woodland/Commercial Drive
Please bring your own sketchbook and drawing utensils. A pencil and pen is recommended. For the session on values, it is recommended to bring drawing utensils in a variety of values (lights to darks).
These sessions are expected to fill up fast. Please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend so that someone on the waitlist can join.
