Dr. Mark Stevens joined UBC in July 2009 and is an Associate Professor in the School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP). He has professional experience as a natural resources planner for a city government and a regional planner for a council of governments in the state of Oregon.

Mark’s research interests center on synthesizing planning knowledge to inform communities and planners in their efforts to promote a more equitable world.

Mark teaches an introductory course on urban planning, a course on plan-making and implementation, and a course on professional planning praxis.
